Summary: Prepare food for patients and residents under the direction and supervision of the Dietary Director. Prepare and set up foods for breakfast on serving line checking production sheets making sure all items are available to make line move quickly and accurately. Prepare coffee and tea for each meal. Prepare salads, desserts, and breads for lunch and supper meals according to menu. Prepare/set up tray line with salads/desserts for patients/residents following the diets as prescribed by physicians. Assist with dishwashing in dish room after supper meal; also other times needed. Assist in other areas of dietary as needed. Prepare foods for following day as needed.
Clean work area after each preparation including:
- Any appliances used
- Walls in your work area
- Clean meal, sugar, and flour containers
- Clean area where coffee and tea is make including drawer-clean and organize
- Drain and clean cold bar where juice/milk us kept each day
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High school education or its equivalent is preferred
- Prior experience as a cook or dietary aide is preferred for this position
