Summary:Looking for an individual who will administer and monitor administration of resident medication and treatment.
Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the resident and family regarding pain management.
Documents changes in resident’s condition and nursing care on progress notes and plan of care.
Makes nursing diagnosis which serves as the basis for strategy of care.
Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest level of care for all residents.
Makes sure that dietary recommendations are followed through with physician notification and implementation.
Responsible for communicating with patients, nurses, other healthcare professionals, family members and visitors.
This person must promote and restore the resident’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians/providers and multi-disciplinary team members; providing physical and psychosocial support to our residents and families & supervising assigned team members.
Ensures labs are performed on residents as ordered and that physician is notified of the results. Ensures the lab log book is kept up to date.
Gives a thorough report of oncoming shift by participating in walking rounds and documenting appropriately on calendar for upcoming needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of RN experience in a nursing home setting preferred
Current LPN/RN licensure in the State of Mississippi and BCLS certification
Must promote and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Administer injections, apply dressing changes and remove sutures
Knowledge of electronic medical records
This person must possess a great attitude and be very customer service orientated.
