Position:Full-time (PM)

Summary:  Prepare food for patients and residents under the direction and supervision of the Dietary Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items as indicated on menu for residents’ and patients’- breakfast meal, lunch meal and supper meal
  • Assist in food preparation for any special meals served by the Dietary Department
  • Serve patient trays with foods according to individual diet prescribed by physicians, honoring preferences within diet limits
  • Prepare and assist with food preparation for following day as needed
  • Clean and assist in cleaning work area and cooking utensils in department as needed
  • Assist in dish room according to schedule and other times as instructed
  • Fill in for Shift Supervisor as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A High school education or its equivalent is preferred
  • Prior experience as a cook or dietary aide is preferred for this position
