Dietary Supervisor

Summary: Manages and implements various accounting procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations. Participates in the department’s performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Prior experience as a supervisor is preferred for this position
- High school education or its equivalent is required
Requirements:
- Obtain food items specified on menu in order to cook
- Check patient cards, for discharges, new admissions and any changes in diets
- Monitor and assist with keeping areas clean and organized, including freezers, refrigerators, walk-in-cooler, storage shelves, drawers, cabinets, countertops and other areas
- Keep census on number of patients, employees and guest trays served for breakfast.
- Assist in dishroom as scheduled or needed
- Assist with training new employees
- Monitor and assist with food preparation of each meal to assure diets are being followed correctly
- Assist in other areas as instructed
