Summary:
Looking for a Hospice Director of Nursing to direct and supervise the hospice program under the supervision of the Hospice Administrator.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Administer and maintain quality assurance, environmental and infection control policies in accordance with facility objectives
- Overseeing the development of nursing staff
- Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state and federal guidelines
- Coordinate the provision of hospice and palliative care services
- Evaluate staff for performance and competency to ensure nursing standards are met
- Provide care, comfort and support to clients navigating the difficult time at the end of their lives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Mississippi
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have dependable transportation
- Minimum of one year of hospice experience is strongly preferred
- Previous experience supervising staff strongly preferred
