Treatment Nurse

  • Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management
    techniques. Educates the resident and family regarding pain management.
  • Gives a thorough report of oncoming shift by participating in walking rounds and
    documenting appropriately on calendar for upcoming needs.
  • Documents changes in resident’s condition and nursing care on progress notes and plan
    of care.
  • Makes nursing diagnosis which serves as the basis for strategy of care.
  • Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest level of care for all
    residents.
  • Makes sure that dietary recommendations are followed through with physician
    notification and implementation.
  • Responsible for communicating with patients, nurses, other healthcare professionals,
    family members and visitors.
  • This person must promote and restore the resident’s health by completing the nursing
    process; collaborating with physicians/providers and multi-disciplinary team members;
    providing physical and psychosocial support to our residents and families & supervising
    assigned team members.
  • Ensures labs are performed on residents as ordered and that physician is notified of the
    results. Ensures the lab log book is kept up to date.
