NSMC Named MBS Community Drive of the Year
North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville is committed to having four drives a year; they also encourage ALL who are employed or associated with North Sunflower Medical to donate as often as possible. But they take it a step further, making the overall theme about the “Community of Ruleville”. Often the drives held at the hospital are to benefit those who need it most –patients needing blood. That is their focus: selfless acts that we all benefit from.
Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) held its 2015 Annual Meeting at their facility on Thursday, January 22. The meeting is held to address the issues and events of the past year, look forward to the challenges of a new year, and to recognize those individuals and organizations who have helped MBS accomplish its mission of collecting, processing and distributing a safe supply of blood and blood products throughout the state of Mississippi in 2014.
Accepting the award is Danielle Ervin, Chairperson and Lab Director.
Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) was founded in 1979. Mississippi Blood Services is the only not-for-profit blood center headquartered in Mississippi. MBS supplies a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood products to Mississippi hospitals from the Tennessee line to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
